Even if Damon would have died in season 2 finale what would have meant the end of delena for good this ship would still be the best on this show and in the whole fucking universe and JP and KW would never be able to write something better than this perfect on so many levels ship. Than this unbelievably fucked up ship. Incredibly unbelievably fucked up perfection that they are just kills you with it’s epicness and you hate it and love it and adore it and can’t imagine you life without it. And haters can shut the fuck up about Damon not deserving Elena cause other kids can get the wrong idea that you should rationalize your feelings and love is not a feeling basically but the question of who’s more convenient for you. Haters can shut the fuck up about her endlessly forgiving him everything. The last time she didn’t even bother with one more you have lost me forever cause who are we kidding she’ll take him back again, she’ll come to him and look at him with her loving care and she’s say she’s there for him and she’ll say that’s my shoulder for your head to rest on. Everybody knows that, Elena knows that. Don’t kid yourself, she’ll never let him go. They’re so amazingly perfect in their fuckedupness I cannot handle it. Everything is so unusual about them, so special from the first meeting to their goddamn complicated relationship that no one can really put a name on. they get the most romantic scenes a couple can possibly get, just remember miss mystic falls and rose. And surely they can’t get the usual romantic it’s fucked up too but that makes everything so fucking beautiful you tear up and this perfection hurts so much sometimes you don’t know what to do with yourself. And these Damon’s feelings for her that he can’t goddamn control and sometimes he looks at her with so much love and sometimes with so much passion that I want to kiss the hell out of you is written all over his face and YOU have those fucking butterflies doing god knows what in your stomach. And when she looks at him with so much tenderness and compassion and understanding you bawl your eyes out and question yourself how the fuck the love looks like if it’s not love. Sometimes when the writers give them hard times you swear to quit this fucking show for good and you’re broken and confused cause you’ve always thought you knew what’s going on and where this story leads but apparently you were wrong and you’re frustrated to no end. But then you look at your screen and you see Elena on the cemetery and she looks up and meets Damon’s eyes and they look at each other and their “something” shining through your screen and he says everything will be okay I’m here for you without words, and you hear the voice over saying “as a human or as a vampire, I love you all the same. As I’ve always loved you and always will” and you sit in front of your fucking screen with your eyes full of tears and your mouth hanging cause what you’ve just seen is a gooddamn endgame material. this.
